Since my election as Southern Lehigh School Director in 2021, I’ve worked tirelessly to serve our community, putting students first, advocating for taxpayers, and upholding the conservative values that make our district strong. As a high-risk pregnancy physician and a father, I bring a practical, evidence-based approach to the board, focusing on what matters most: delivering results for our families while keeping our schools fiscally responsible and educationally sound. Here’s a look at what I’ve accomplished over the past four years.
I’m proud to have maintained Southern Lehigh’s low millage rate—currently the second-lowest in Lehigh County at 17.26 mills—by keeping taxes down for three consecutive years. Through careful budgeting, I’ve ensured our district remains affordable for families and seniors, especially those on fixed incomes, without compromising the quality of our schools. My commitment to fiscal responsibility means you can trust me to prioritize taxpayers’ hard-earned dollars.
Our students deserve the best learning environments and opportunities, and I’ve delivered on that promise. I spearheaded the construction of a new athletic stadium, providing a state-of-the-art facility for our athletes and community to come together. I was also instrumental in bringing girls wrestling to both the high school and junior high levels, expanding athletic opportunities for our female students and fostering inclusivity in sports. Additionally, I championed improvements to our school facilities, including the intermediate school brick facade, ensuring our buildings are safe, modern, and conducive to learning—all while staying within budget and avoiding significant tax increases.
When I took office in 2021, the COVID-19 pandemic was still disrupting our schools. As an independent physician leader, I used my expertise and common sense to evaluate the data without bias, advocating for in-person education despite “expert” advice to the contrary. I fought hard to get our kids back to normalcy, and Southern Lehigh became one of the first districts to remove masks and return to full in-person learning—faster than many other districts in the region. My evidence-based approach put students’ well-being first, ensuring they could thrive without unnecessary restrictions. I was proven right in every aspect, and I’m proud to have led the way for our community.
I recognized the need for a stronger, more focused curriculum to better serve our students, and I took action. I played a key role in bringing on a new curriculum director to lead our district’s educational strategy, ensuring we have fresh leadership dedicated to academic excellence. Under this new direction, I spearheaded a true overhaul of our curriculum, aligning it with the core educational needs of our students while eliminating distractions. This comprehensive update has set Southern Lehigh on a path to deliver a more rigorous and effective education for all our kids, preparing them for future success.
I believe parents and residents deserve a school board that operates with transparency. That’s why I’ve consistently pushed for greater openness in our decision-making processes, including advocating for redlined policy copies to be made public before votes. I’ve also called for increased local oversight of policy development, ensuring our district’s solicitor plays a larger role in tailoring policies to Southern Lehigh’s specific needs, rather than relying heavily on external organizations like the Pennsylvania School Boards Association (PSBA). As I see transparency slipping under the current board leadership, I am working hard to restore trust and accountability to our community.
Throughout my tenure, I’ve remained independent from the teachers’ union and other special interests, ensuring the school board serves its true constituents: our students and taxpayers. My focus has always been on delivering what’s best for Southern Lehigh, not appeasing external agendas. Whether it’s keeping taxes low, improving facilities, or prioritizing education over distractions, I’ve stayed true to my principles as a fiscal and social conservative.
I’ve consistently put students at the heart of every decision. From fighting for in-person learning during COVID to ensuring our schools focus on core education rather than political or ideological agendas, I’ve worked to create a learning environment where our kids can succeed. My achievements—like the new stadium, the introduction of girls wrestling, upgraded facilities, and the curriculum overhaul—reflect my commitment to giving students the resources and opportunities they need to thrive, while my leadership ensures their education remains the top priority.
These accomplishments are just the beginning. As I run for re-election, I’m committed to building on this foundation—keeping taxes low, enhancing our schools, and maintaining a student-first focus that reflects our community’s conservative values. I’m not a politician; I’m a doctor, a father, and a community member who cares deeply about Southern Lehigh’s future.
I ask for your vote on May 20, 2025, as one of your four choices for School Director, so I can continue delivering the results our district deserves.
I’m Christopher Wayock, MD, a patient facing medical doctor, proud father of two sons and a daughter, and your incumbent Southern Lehigh School Director, running for re-election to continue serving our community. As a high risk pregnancy physician who helps families navigate complex and challenging times, I bring that same dedication and problem-solving mindset to the school board. I’m a true conservative who believes the board’s role is to advocate for taxpayers and students—not special interests like the teachers’ union. My record proves my commitment to this principle, delivering results while keeping our values at the forefront.
During my tenure, I’ve kept taxes low for three years straight, built a new athletic stadium (under budget), and improved our school facilities to ensure our students thrive. I’ve always put students first, focusing on education over distractions. When COVID hit, I fought hard to get our kids back to normalcy. As an outspoken critic of COVID policies, I used my medical expertise and common sense to evaluate the data without bias, advocating for in-person education despite so-called “expert” advice. I was proven right in every aspect—Southern Lehigh became the first district to remove masks and return to normal, prioritizing our children’s well-being over fear-driven mandates.
I’m not a politician—I’m a community member who cares deeply about Southern Lehigh’s future. As a doctor who supports families through high-risk pregnancies, I understand the importance of stability and trust, and as a parent, I know how vital a strong education system is for our kids. I’m running to keep fighting for you, ensuring our schools reflect our conservative values and focus on what matters most: our students and our community.
Vote for me as one of your four choices for School Director on May 20th—a proven leader who delivers results without compromise.
Maintain Fiscal Responsibility
I’ll continue my proven record of keeping taxes low, as I’ve done for the past three years, ensuring our district remains affordable for families and taxpayers while still investing in our schools.
Keep Students First – Focus on Education, Not Distractions
Building on my leadership during COVID—when I used my expertise as a high-risk pregnancy physician to advocate for in-person education and made Southern Lehigh the first district to remove masks—I’ll ensure our schools prioritize core education over political agendas, keeping our kids’ learning and well-being at the forefront.
Enhance School Facilities for Future Generations
Having already delivered a new athletic stadium and improved facilities like the intermediate school brick facade, I’ll push for further upgrades to ensure our schools are safe, modern, and equipped to support student success, all while staying within budget.
Protect Parental Rights and Transparency
I’ll champion parents’ voices in education, ensuring transparency in curriculum and decision-making, so families have a say in their children’s schooling and trust that the board works for them—not special interests.
Ensure Independence from the Teachers’ Union
I’ll maintain the school board’s independence from the teachers’ union, focusing on the needs of taxpayers and students rather than union agendas, as I’ve done throughout my tenure by putting our community first.
Support Effective District Leadership
I’ll advocate for stable, student-focused leadership by supporting our superintendent and opposing micromanagement from the board, addressing the current School Board President’s detrimental actions that threaten our district’s progress.
Promote a Safe and Traditional Learning Environment
I’ll continue to uphold conservative values in our schools, ensuring a learning environment that respects tradition, fosters discipline, and prepares students for success without ideological interference.
